Schedule of Services
Beth Israel's Shabbat Service is in English and Hebrew. We use the Siddur Hadash on Shabbat and the Mahzor Hadash on the High Holidays. Friday night Shabbat Services begin at 7:30pm and are followed by an Oneg Shabbat. Saturday morning Shabbat Services start at 9:30am and usually conclude by 12:00 noon, and are followed by a Kiddush or Kiddush luncheon. Our religious school classes often assist us in leading our Shabbat Services.
Services are also held for all the religious holidays and festivals; these include Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, Tu B'Shevat, Purim, Passover etc. Special services and dinners take place throughout the year, with the active participation of our children. Beth Israel Congregation participates in Shabbat Across America http://urj.org/cong/outreach/saa/ and holds a community dinner as part of this celebration. In addition, the congregation has a yearly Service Under the Stars for Sukkot, a Chanukah Party and provides a traditional and beautiful congregational Seder on Passover.
